Data protection
Use and processing of personal data
The careful handling of your personal data has the highest priority at Deko mit Pfiff International. When collecting, processing and using data, we strictly adhere to the legal provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the Telemedia Act and other laws relevant to data protection. Deko mit Pfiff International will only use your personal data for advertising purposes in its newsletter if you have given your express consent. The legal basis for processing is the consent of the data subject (Art. 6 Para. 1a GDPR). Of course, you can revoke your consent to the use and processing of the data for the newsletter at any time by sending us a message. You can do this by post by sending an informal message to Deko mit Pfiff International, Am Birkenweg 14, 15754 Heidesee, or by sending an email to info@dekomitpfiff.de. You also have the option to revoke your consent at any time.
Furthermore, the web servers automatically record usage data that your web browser sends when you visit the website. This so-called log data includes your web request, your IP address, browser type, browser language, date and time of a request and cookies. Deko mit Pfiff International and its agents only use log data if necessary for verification purposes, for troubleshooting and for identifying and defending against hacker attacks. The personal data, here the IP addresses, are anonymized by the operator of the web server - the so-called web host - before they are stored in the log files. This is the German internet service provider 1&1 Internet SE (Elgendorfer Straße 57 in 56410 Montabaur). Further information on handling log files at 1&1 can be found here:

encryption
Deko mit Pfiff International requires your personal data for various business transactions. For example, sensitive data must be transmitted to our server during the login process for your customer account. We encrypt them so that they do not fall into the wrong hands. The term SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is generally used for encryption processes. This procedure has since been replaced by the newer TLS (Transport Layer Security) for security reasons. By using this procedure, your data will be alienated by the encryption so that a third party cannot reconstruct it before it is transmitted to the web server of Deko mit Pfiff International or to the server of the online shop.
This encryption process also ensures that your data is only sent to the server from which it was requested. When your data arrives on the Deko mit Pfiff International server, they are finally checked for completeness and that they have not been changed. You can recognize encrypted data transmission by the lock symbol in the address line of your web browser or by the protocol designation https instead of http in the web address (where the s stands for safe or secure).
Handling of your personal data
We use the personal data in detail to process the orders, to deliver the goods, to process the payment, to prevent misuse of our website, for our own evaluations and to inform you about the status of your order. We do not pass on your personal data, including your home address and e-mail address, to third parties without your express consent, which can be revoked at any time.
In these cases, however, the scope of the transmitted data is limited to the necessary minimum. Your concerns will be considered in accordance with the statutory provisions. The legal basis for processing is the fulfillment of the contract (Art. 6 Para. 1b GDPR).
Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties
Without your consent, Deko mit Pfiff International will only pass on personal data in response to a search warrant, court order, subpoena or other lawful and statutorily regulated cases. The legal basis for processing here is the fulfillment of a legal obligation (Art. 6 Para. 1c GDPR).
